Abstract
This study was performed to investigate the effects of CO polluted air on the rat, especially on the oxygen consumption.
The following conclusion were obtained:
1. Oxygen consumption of rat was decreased in 0.05% CO, 0.1% CO, 0.1% CO, & 0.5% CO poluted air, inversely proportional to the concentration of CO.
2. Oxygen consumption of rat exposed to carbon monoxide polluted air for 10, 20, 40 days, also, was decreased as the exposure time prolonged so more reduction in the oxygen consumption.
