Abstract

The oxygen consumption rates of the tissue of organ in albino rats were measured previously under the normal, hypoxia, low-temperature, G-force and starved conditions.
Tissue respiration was measured using the Warburg¢¥s mamometric method and fatigue produced by means of exercising Apparatus. (7m/min for one hour)
Oxygen consumption rates of liver, kidney, skeletal muscle and cerebral cortex were measured.
The following results were obtained.
1. The fatigued Albino rats by means of loaded exercise was decreased about 4 % (7 gm) of the body weight.
2. Oxygen Consumption -rates of tissue of organ in fatigued Albino rats generally decreased and a notable decrease was founded in the muscles as compared with the normal control.
