Abstract
Nature mice weighted about 20 gm. were Kept in the box, 200 cm X 80 cm size, with a pair of 20 W. white fluorescent bulbs. Vaginal smear with Giemsa stain was performed every day at 10 A.M. Estrus was measured by the appearance of the cornified cells on the smear.
Results:
The results due to continuous radiation may induce the following symptoms by perhaps the hypothalamic. irritation:
1) All cases show onset peried, maximal is 10 days, minimal is 6 days and the average is 8.2 days.
2) Maximal heat period is 15 days, and minimal heat period is 8 days, .
3) It is acertained that the radiation upon the hypothalamus by white light may induce prominent influences on sex cycle of mouse.
