Abstract
Micromorphological changes of the integument of the Clonorchis sinensis was examined after administration of a Benzimidazole derivative, Methyl N-[5-(6)-(p-fluorobenzoyl)-2-benzimidazolyl] carbamate, with the doses of 20^40 body weight mg/kg single dose, to the infected rabbits. In the treated group, plasma membrane was flatten and destroyed, mitochondria were disappeared, secretory granules were concentrated along the proximal Fortion of the integument and in epidermal cells. Protoplasmic tubules be-came clear by treatment and no content was recognized in the tubules at this phase. The connective tissue layer under the basement membrane became pale and disappeared.
