Abstract
Present study includes quantitative observation on inorganic phosphate and organic phosphate, which is composed of acid soluble organic, lipid, nucleic acid, and protein phosphates of human fetal liver.
The materials were collected from 24 cases of human fetus which range between 8 weeks to 38 weeks of gestation.
Nucleic acid content exhibited a higher level in the early stage of fetal life than later stage, and in the middle stage, 20-21 weeks, a remarkable peak was observed.
The value of total phosphate showed also slight increse in the middle stage.
In lipid and the others fractions, no significant variations were observed through the period of fetal growth.
