Abstract
In a total of 12, 471 cases anesthetised at the Kyungpouk National University hospital from Janu ary 1966 to December 1975 was studied. They were analyzed according to age, seY, surgical secti on, by month, year, and anesthetic method.
Recently, general anesthesia has been used with increasing frequency, while the us of spinal and local anesthsia has decreased. Vlore than half of the total anesthetic cosec -ere for the patients is 2nd and 3rd decade of their ages.
Alrnost all of the total anesthetic cases were general surgery, neurosurgery, crth~pedic surgery, obstetric and gynecologic surgery, Numbers of surgery patients and emergency operations increased yearly and also the numbers of cases of geriatric and infant. operations increased remarkably. There are mere operative patients in the months of September and October than in ether months of year.
