Abstract
This experimental study was attempted to observe the organ-body weight ratio of rat in acute carbon monoxide poisoning and the effects of drug administration in same conditions.
The major findings obtained from this experiment were as follows.
1. Weight of brain, liver, lung, kidney, spleen and pancrease increased by acute carbon monoxide poisoning.
2. The administrations of cytochrome c and sodium succinate brought the reduction of organ weight, especially those of heart, liver and lung and no remarkable changes were observed in these organs as kidney, spleen and pancrease.
3. The combined effects of cytochrome c and sodium succinate could not be confirmed.
