Abstract
This study was attempted to observe the changes of blood gases on control group, CO poisoning group, and drug administered groups(Cytochrome C, Sodium Succinate and Cytochrome C£«Sodium Succinate)with white rats (200gm¡250gm. B.W.)
The findings obtained are as follows;
1. In the acute carbon monoxide poisoning, carbon dioxide and oxygen contents decreased, while hemoglobin contents of blood increased.
In a comatose state, carboxyhemoglobin (HbCO) saturation level was more than 66%.
2. Change of carbon dioxide in the blood of all experimental groups remarkably decreased, when compared with control group.
3. The changes of blood oxygen contents were observed only in CO poisoning group, while drug admi-nistered groups didn¢¥t show any significant changes.
4. In the drug administered groups, there were no significant change in blood gases compared with the CO poisoning group.
