Abstract

Determination of protein and minerals were made on 85 samples of human milk from mothers who were 1 to 13 months after parturition in Seoul.
1) The average value of protein content in human milk was 1.08g/100ml, SD. 0.20, with a range of 0.582 to 1.424g/100ml.
2.) The average values of mineral compositions of human milk (with standard deviations in blankets) were as follows:
phosphorus 13.30mg/100ml (2.73),
calcium 26.32mg/100ml/(0.26).
3) Protein, phosphorus, calcium and iron content in human milk were decreased with progress of post partum days.
