Abstract


Statistical analyses were made on the chemical composition of human milk between two seasons, spring and summer. The milk for the examination was collected from 111 mothers who were 3 to 6 months after parturition in Seoul.
1. The analysis of variance showed that the seasonal variation were significant in phosphorus and vitamin C content of human milk, other variance, however, were no significant between spring and
2. The average values of calcium and Iron content in milk of Korean women were lower than those seen in the foreign woman milk.
3. Coefficient of iron content variation in human milk showed marked variability: 62% in spring and 77% in summer.
