Abstract
After simple closure of duodenal ulcer perforation under general anesthesia on a 34 year old male patient, atelectasis developed.
Oo the 2nd postoperative day, dyspnea suddenly devoloped and atelectasis was confirmed by chest X-ray.
Tracheostomy was performed, and I.P.P.B. and suction were continued for a few days. The patient was discharged without further event.
