Abstract


The following results were obtained from the studies of 51 cases receiving continuous spinal anesthesia at the central operating theatre of Busan National University Hospital from January, 1976 to December, 1976.
1. 42 cases (82.4%) were between the fourth and sixth decades.
2. During anesthesia, 12 cases(23.5%) of hypotension, 2 cases(3.9%) of respiratory difficulty and 5 cases (9.8%) of nausea and vomiting were observed.
3. After anesthesia, we observed 7 cases(13.7%) of headache, 3 cases (5.9%) of backache and 1 case (2.0%) of voiding difficulty.
4. No neurologic sequelae were observed.
