Abstract


Since Feb. 1962, hypothermic-hypotensive treatment was tried in 4 cases of fulminant toxemia of pregnancy. Previously ordinary treatment: was given but without satisfactory result. The treatment was conducted successfully in cooperation with the anesthesia department.
The body temperature was kept between 33¡ÆC and 35¡ÆC. Largactil, Pethidine, Apresoline and occasionally Pendiomid were used to obtain sedation and to control the B.P., according to the patient¢¥s condition. We omit the description of detailed technique here.
