Abstract
The purpose of this study was to make a clinical evaluation of a new adhesive material (Nuva-Seal; L. D. Caulk Co.) which could protect teeth from dental caries by shielding teeth surfaces.
1. Caries prevalence after 6 months in 39 experimented lower permanent first molar was 12.82%, but 41. 02% in the matched controlateral teeth.
2. After 6 months, 20.01% of test teeth had the sealant still present, 46.15% had sealant partly missing, and in 33.33% no visibly retained sealant could be detected.
