Abstract


The author studied the effects of phcnothiazine derivatives cn K# permeability of Me rabbit red cells. The results were as follows.
I) Chlorpromazine, perphenazine and prochlorperazine caused the loss of Ki´ from the erythrocytes in
vitro in the following order;
Chlorpromazine perphenazine> prochlorperazine
2) The K}- loss progressed rapidly for about 60 minutes, however, slowed down thereafter. 3) The K+- loss of erythrocytes increased by the proportion to chlorpromazine concentration.
