Abstract
A newer latex, Geon D 11 A was used as an injection mass to study the morphological changes of the canine kidney with experimental ureteral obstruction.
Followings are the results.
1. Renal vascularities of the kidney with obstruction showed narrowing, atrophy and irregularity etc. on the molding specimens, and these changes were more prominent in arterial system than in venous tract, as well as in cortical area than hilar and medullary area.
2. Collecting systems of the kidney showed marked deformity and enlargement of the pelvis and calyx, while the tubules showed irregular deformity, enlargement or obliteration.
3.The destructive changes as above, were worse in the kidneys with obstruction for : 30 days than 10 days group.
