外傷性 骨折에 關한 統計學的 觀察 Statistical and Radiographical Observations on Traumatic Fracture of the Bone

Abstract


Authors observed statistically 821 cases of the traumatic fracture with traffic accident which was diagnosed by radiographic study among 17, 311 patients who admitted at Busan National University Hospital via emergency room during 5years from January 1970 to December 1974.
The results were as follows:
1. 821 cases were diagnosed as traumatic fracture(4. 7 %) among 17,311 patients via emergency room.
2. Annual incidence showed tendency to increase progressively with mean increment ratio of 31. 5% from 1970 to 1974.
3. The most frequent occurrence season was autumn (29.3%), spring (25.2%), summer (22.8%) and winter(22.5%) orderly.
4. The most common cause of traumatic fracture was traffic accident(56. 4%). Several causative factors were found in traffic accident, such as driver´s errors, carelessness of sufferers, and poor automobile provisions. Other infrequent causes were environment of roads, amount of traffics, traveling orders, density of population, time, place, and atmosphere, etc.
Other causes of traumatic fracture were fall-down (12. 8%), working (1.8%), quarreling (1.4%), explosion(0.4%), and varieties(27. 2%).
5. Skull was the most common involved site in traumatic fracture, and nextly lower extremity (25.7%) and upper extremity(13. 8%), spine(4. 6%), and others(20. 0%).
6. The ratio between male and female was 3.49:1.In female, teen-agers were more commonly affected than other age group.
7. The third(22. 8%) and seeond(20.0%) decades were the most prevalent age groups, and children before 10 years were also frequently affected(17%).
