Abstract


The author observed the incidency of anemia and sociomedical relationships of it in Kimcheon -city and Keumnung Koon area from June 1966 to May 1968.
A total of 863 cases were observed and the results obtained are as follows.
1. Rate of anemia by age and incidency. The anemia incidency was 28.7%, from 1 month to 6 months; 16.9%, 1^-1+y;45.0% 1+2y; 47.6%, 23y;29.2% average.
2. Hemoglbin level in anemia group was as follows:
from Hb 10.0 gm% to 10.5 gm% levels was 60.5961", below 9.5 gm% level was 7.3%.
3. Rate of anemia by parent age.
In the mother age 25^29 groups was 118%, 40^44 year age group was 71.4% and in the father age group of 2529 years was 24.096, 4044 years age group was 45.1% frequency of anemia was increased in the parent group of greater age.
4. The relationship between the educational level of parents and the rate of anemia in the child shows that the rate of anemia decreases as the educatio ial level of parents increases. The results were as follows:
in case of un-educated mother 47%, mothers with a high school education was 6.3%. In case of un-educated father was 59.8%, in high school educated father was 12.9%.
5. Rate of anemia by father´s Occupation.
In the cases of unemployment was 63. 101o. in the farmer 32.65vo and in the Marchant 9. 1%
6. Rate of anemia by number of live births.
The incidency of anemia was increased by the number of live births, Such as 1^8;21.4961, 4631.2965, Over 7;45.2%.
7. Rate of anemia by birth month the anemia incidency was increased in summer born infants and decreased frequency in the winter born infants
8. Rate of anemia by severity of nausea and vomiting duirng the mother´s, pregnancy. In the no symptoms during pregnancy was 1016 and 43.8% in the severe symptoms cases.
9. Rate of anemia by supplemental diet except Breast feeding and cow´s milk.
There was a relatively high rate in the supple diet of rica careal, fruit and ebiose etc and low rate in deits of breads, meats and eggs.
10. The causes of anemia The most high incidency is cases in the cases of inadeguate diet such as 48%, in the acute and chronic infection cases it was 239ol, Disturbance of G.L was 19%, and 4% in the parasitic infection.
