Abstract

Ectopic pancreas is relatively rare disease and generally has no pathognomic and clinical manifestation except occuring complication, such as, bleeding, intussusception, and mechanical intestinal obstruction.
Therefore, this disease is usually diagnosed by laparotomy and pathologic study, and this disease is pathologic interest, not clinical concern. Ectopic pancerase can be found in all gestrointestinal tract, but commonly in stomach and and duodenum, rarly in jejunum and ileum or Meckels diverticulum.
Authors have experienced a case of intussusception of ilea-ileal type, which is induced by ectopic pancreas in Meckels diverticulum probablly. We performed, the laparotomy under the impression off intussusception, and found about 100 cm of necrotized ileum 10 cm proximal from ileocal valve, so resected this necrotized ileum and end to end anastomosis was made. Ectopic pancreatic tissue in Meckels diverticulum was confirmed by pathological examination.
