Abstract
Primary sclerosing cholangitis is one of the uncommon condition involving the extrahepatic biliary system.
The criteria for diagnosis include progressive biliary obstruction due to a chronic inflanmatory fibrous process, absence of biliary stones, absence of prior biliary surgery and a, long enough follow-up period to exclude sclerosing carcinoma of the biliary system.
A brief review, of literatures was presented and one case meeting the criteria was treated by T-tube drainage, steroids and antibiotics at Iran-I1 Hospital.
