腹部 外傷에 關한 臨床的 考察 A Clinical Study of Abdominal Trauma

Abstract


This presentation is a clinical study of 104 patients who were admitted for the abdominal trauma and treated surgically at the Department of surgery, Medical College of the Busan. National University during the 3 year 6 months period from January 1973 to June 1976.
After clinical review, following results were obtained.
1. The sex distribution was 94 males and 10 females with ratio 9.4=1, and the age distribution revealed prevalence in 3rd decade (30.7%).
2. The seasonal incidence indicates prevalence in Spring and Summer (32.7% and 30.7% respectively).
3. Among the 104 cases of abdominal trauma, non-penetrating injuries were 69 cases (66.3%) and penetrating injuries were 35 cases (33.7%). According to the causes of injury, stab wounds, were main causes in penetrating injuries while, traffic accident, blows & kicks were predominant causes in non-penetrating injuries.
5. Associated extraperitoneal organ injures were the chest injures which were most common (21.2%), head trauma (7.7%) followed.
6. The relationship between whole blood transfusion and mortality rates were not related.
7. The most common postoperative complications were wound infection (13.5%), pulmonary complication (9.6%) intestinal obstruction. (5.8%) due to adhesion and urinary infection (3.8%) in that order.
8. The mortality rate was 10.6% (11 cases of total 104 cases) and the causes of death were hemorrhagic shock (4 cases), sepsis (3 cases) and other combined causes.
