Abstract
The author has investigated on tile inlctil·ating activity of dysentery phage of rabbit blood and obtained the following results.
The phage inactivating activity of blood serum obtained alter coagulation of blood is much stronger than that of plasma serum obtained after inhibition of blood coaguflation and the phage inactivating velofity of blood serum and plasma serum is, at 37℃, 0.03 min-1 and 0.014 min-1 respectively. And also, by heating at 56"C for one hour, the action of blood serum was almost destroyed while the action of plasma serum was stable.
The platelets, leucocytes and erythrocytes did not show any action to phage.
