Abstract
McN-A-343, as acetylcholine, produced contracture of the isolated frog rectus skeletal muscle. Atropine did not affect the MCN-A-343 effect, but methylatropane weakened the McN-A-343 effect. The contracture due to acetylcholine was also not affected by atropine but weakened by methylatropine.
Physostigmme weakened remarkably the McN-A-343 effect, whereas it potentiated the acetylcholine effect.
