Abstract

1. The modification of pressor effects of norepinephrine and angiotensin by ganglioplegics in rabbits was investigated.
2. The chronic treatment of the rabbits with chlorisondamine nium did scarcely affect the pressor effect of norepinephrine but of angiotensin.
3. Intravenous injection of small dose of chlorisondamine, 0.03mg/kg, potentiated the pressor effect of angiotensin but not that of norepinephrine.
4. Intravenous injection of chlorisondamine (0.1 or 1 mg/kg) potentiated the pressor effects of both norepinephrine and angiotensin. The potentiation of angiotensin was more´ remarkable than that of norepinephrine.
5. The hypotensive effects of chlorisondamine and the antagonistic effects on pressor response to dimethylphenylpiperazinium were weakend on repeated administrations of this agent. However, the potentiation of the pressor effects of norepinephrine and angiotensin was not influenced by the same procedures.
6. The potentiation of pressor effects of norepinephrine and angiotensin after chlorisondamine was not modified by carbachol administration.
