Abstract
The author experienced a case of deep incised wound at the level of infrahyoid region for attemption of suicide.
The wound was along the upper margin of the thyroid cartilage.
Right superior horn of thyroid cartilage and both internal branches of superior laryngael nerves were cut as well as petiolus of epiglottis.
The function of the larynx was recovered completely after simple closure.
