Abstract


1. The effects of estradiol benzoate on the cell renewal system of the various tissue in the uterus from the normal estrus, normal diestrus, ovariectomized-untreated, and ovariectomized-treated of the female virgin albino mice were studied by means of radioautography using tritiated thymidine.
2. Of the tissues epithelial element, especially lumenal epithelium was the tissue which the most intensely stimulated on its renewal system, whereas the intensity of the stimulation on the cell renewal system of the stroma and myometrium were followed by moderate and minimal grades respectively by the hormone.
