Abstract

One anencephalous skull of full term fetus was observed anatomically.
The calvaria -the frontal squama, parietal bones and occipital squama- was lacked, and the skull base was malformed with poor development.
The optic foramen fused with the superior orbital fissure and widend, the carotid canal was abscent, indicating the lacking of the internal carotid artery.
The orbit was large as normal with a narrow lateral wall but the aditus of the orbit turned to foreward and upward, and the development of the facial bones was relatively complete.
