Abstract


This report consists of 500 vasectomized cases for the intention of family planning in the period of 3 year from 1964 to 1966, in which 245 cases has had past history of urethritis. In this study, following statement can be made as a conclusion.
1. Incidence of perfoming vasectomy in couples of age 35 or more has been very low in case they have no j male child. This shows trends of thinking that desireability of having male child reaches peak at age of 35.
2. Comparatively high rate of morbidity of urethritis among the candidates of vasectomy was felt that abuse of antibiotics in these individuals resulted chronic form of urethritis.
3. Presence of chronic urethritis does not result in higher incidence of surgical complications following vasectomy unless the urethritis is active.
4. The recanalization rate by the simple method of author was 0.8%, which does not differ from other reports or complicated method they used.
5. It is felt that improved care of human motivation as a person, as well as paticular operative technique will advance in the field of family planning in this country.
