Abstract
A case of CO-existing carcinoma and diverticulitis of the colon was observed at Dept. of Surgery, Chonnam University Hospital.
The patient was 39 year old female whose chief complaints were abdominal distension, colicky pain, visible peristalsis with obstipation and vomiting. The tentative diagnosis was made by plain abdominal film as mechanical intestinal obstruction and final diagnosis was an adenocarcinoma and diverticulitis of the colon confirmed bo postoperative histological examination.
A simple stage operation was performed by radical right hemicolectomy.
