Abstract


1. Yponomeuta evonymella is a palearctic species distributing in Europe through Siberia to the Far East.
2. It is an injurious pest to apple and cherry trees in Germany.It causes severe damage to Prunus padus L.in Korea.Sometimes trees were completely denuded by the larvae.
3. One female lays about 200 eggs on the stem of Prunus padus in an eggmass.
4. The pupation period is from late June to early July and lasts for seven days.
5. Six species including three families of natural enemies were found during the feeding larvae in the insectary.

(3) Mesochorus sp.
Braconidae
(4) Apanteles sugae Watanabe
Tachinidae
(5) Zenilla sp.
(6) Bactromyia sp.
6. The rates of parasitism were 18.3% by Ichneumon-and Bracon-flies and 2.8% by Tachinid-flies.
