Abstract
Both coagulant and anticoagulant play their role as blood coagulation controllers.
Of these, coagulants are most frequently used as bleeding controllers in the field of Otolaryngology. Recent opinions on the mechanism of coagulation are herein reviewed and a few coagulants now available are briefly discussed.
