Abstract

The effect of rotatory stimulation and vibration on retention ti me in mouse was investigated, and the following results were obtained, 1) After mild rotatory stimulation(45 rpm for 5 min.). the retention time of mouse was recorded as 56.9±22.2sec., and after strong rotatory stimulation(78 rpm for 10 min.). the retention time was 86.5 ± 23.06sec.,so,retention impairment was produced by rotatory stimulation. 2) When experimenting the passive avoidance learning and retention function, after electrical shock was applied in mouse, retention time of control group was 508.3 ±50.9 sec? and rotation group was 578.8-F21.2 sec., single rotatory stimulation was not having any effect on mouse short term memory loss.
3) After scopolamine intraperitoneal injection, rest group showed 20.86:L4..55 sec. retention time, and retention time of rotatory group was 27.43:h6.09 sec. The retention impairment of mouse produced by rotation was somewhat improved significantly by scopolamine injection. 4), After 10 min. rest, the retention time was 24.254-6.74 sec. but after electrical shock was applied in mouse, the retention time of control group was 582.5-h.17.5 sec., and vibration group was decreased to. 446.4±55 ,sec. So 10 mina whole body vibration effected on mouse short term memory loss.
