Abstract


The mercury contents of polished Tice were spectrophotometrically determined using Diths´r izone method. The Samples examined were collected from 60 different areas and from 15 rice fields which were sprayed for different number of times with mercury-containing insecticides.
The results obtined are:
1) The average content of mercury in the rice was 0.117mg/kg
2) The mercury content increased, with the number of spraying of organic mercury insecticides:
