Abstract

Supernumerary teeth may occur anywhere in the dental arch and the most common site is between the maxillary central incisors.
The supernumerary tooth found in the incisor area is called mesiodens. But intranasal supernumerary tooth is a very rare case and has been reported a few. So far as the authors had reviewed the articles about intranasal teeth, we could not find
nasendoscopic picture of the intranasal supernumerary tooth in the previous literature. So we report a case of left nasal tooth which showed an inverse eruption of a supernumerary tooth into the left nasal cavity.
A 7 year-old girl who came to the out-patient ENT clinical with symptoms of left sided nasal obstruction and frequent nasal crusts. After routine laboratory study and PNS view with occlusal film view, the removal of the left intranasal
supernumerary
tooth was performed with a tonsil hemostat under general endotracheal anesthesia without surgical difficulty.
And we found this mesiodens had erupted between the left permanent central and lateral incisor with the occlusal film view of the upper jaw.
We report this case with review of the literature.
