Abstract
Sophora flavescens(Leguminosae) has been used as anthelmintic, detoxicant, antiinflammatory and the treatment for pyrogenic infections of the skin. The antioxidative effect of Sophora flavescens was inbestigated. The MeOH ex. and its hexan, EtOAs and BuOH and water fractions were examined free radical scavenging activity by DPPH method, antilipid peroxidation activity on rat liver homogenate and tyrosinase inhibition activity by mushroom tyrosinase. The EtOAc fraction showed the free radical scavengning, antilipidemic and tyrosinase inhibition activities.
