Abstract
Achievement of optimal transfection efficiency is invaluable for mechanistic studies on osteoblastic gene regulation. In the present study, we have shown that the efficiency of biochemical transfection reagents varies significantly in UAMS-32 osteoblastic cells. The highest transfection efficiency was obtained when 4 mg DNA and Welfect-plus ¢âwas used in UAMS-32 osteoblastic cells. We also showed the evidence of the applicability of this method for the efficient transfection of osteoblastic cells with reporter constructs for luciferase reporter assay.
